About
For Brett Spivey, there has always been something about motors. Power, sound, responsiveness, all the things that make driving fun.
Spivey's Started Early in Life

Brett Spivey was 8 years old and never had a bike. So he built one.
From a scrap heap of old bike parts, he fashioned his first ride and established a mechanical path for his life leading to Spivey’s Auto Repair, his second successful auto-service business.
Growing up in the Lake Havasu area, as a teenager he worked at the now defunct bumper boats under London Bridge. On the side, he fixed his friends’ bikes. When his family moved to California for a short time, his first “real job” was as a smog technician where he earned his first ASE certification.
When Brett moved back to Lake Havasu, he earned additional ASE certifications at Parker Motor Company Ford. He also has worked for GM dealerships and has certifications that qualify him to work on multiple types and brands of vehicles, including Toyota, Prius, Tesla, and others.
He became an ASE Master Technician in 1999 and now holds advanced L1, L2, and L3 certifications in engine performance, which include electronic diesel-engine diagnosis, hybrid, and electric vehicles. ASE certifications testify to a technician’s expertise and commitment to their craft. They ensure professionals have the skills and knowledge to deliver top-quality service.
ASE, stands for the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence, an independent nonprofit organization that has worked to improve service and repair quality since 1972.
Brett worked to achieve these credentials to demonstrate you can trust him to repair or maintain your vehicle. Master Technician status is like a black belt in martial arts. It sets expertise and dedication apart because of demonstrated proficiency at highest levels. He also has the mechanic’s “art” of being able by experience to assess vehicle performance through sound or rhythm and to narrow symptoms beyond computer diagnostics.
One of Brett’s values is to provide service the customer needs and wants—not to fatten estimates. He wants you on the road and happy.
Brett loves helping people. He has ridden his Harley-Davidson in every state, including Hawaii, and knows offroad trails from Yuma to Flagstaff. He leads barbecues for friends or long-distance trail rides for fun and adventure.
